Detailed Manufacturer Warranties

Latham Fiberglass Pool Shell - Limited Lifetime Warranty
We chose Latham Pools because we believe quality matters—and because their warranty reflects the confidence they have in their fiberglass shells.
Latham’s current fiberglass warranty provides limited lifetime coverage for the original residential purchaser against qualifying structural failure caused by defects in the manufacturer's workmanship or materials. Latham also provides limited lifetime coverage against qualifying osmotic blistering of the gelcoat surface. Latham-installed tile is covered for three years from the date Latham ships the pool.
In simple terms:
- The shell’s structure: Limited lifetime coverage for qualifying structural failure.
- The gelcoat surface: Limited lifetime coverage against qualifying osmotic blistering.
- Latham-installed tile: 3-year warranty against qualifying transportation damage and workmanship in the tile application.
There are important conditions and exclusions. For example, Latham's warranty requires proper installation and maintenance, including compliance with applicable codes and Latham's installation requirements and maintaining proper water chemistry. It also excludes certain issues related to improper installation, unauthorized draining, groundwater, settling or shifting of earth, improper maintenance, and other circumstances.
Why this matters to us: A warranty is only as good as the company standing behind the installation. That’s why we take the installation process seriously. We’re not just putting a Latham pool in the ground. We're responsible for installing it correctly.
Pentair Pool Equipment - Manufacturer Warranty
We use Pentair equipment because we want the systems operating your pool to be dependable, efficient, and supported by a major manufacturer. Pentair’s warranty varies depending on the specific product. For professionally installed residential inground equipment purchased through a qualified brick-and-mortar retailer, pool builder, or pool service professional, Pentair provides at least a one-year parts-and-labor warranty on qualifying products, with many products receiving longer coverage.
Some examples:
- Pentair IntelliFlo3 VSF pumps: 3 years
- Pentair filters: 2 years
- Pentair MasterTemp / Max-E-Therm heaters: 2 years
- Pentair ETi high-efficiency heaters: 3 years
- Pentair UltraTemp high-performance heat pumps: 1 year, with certain components receiving longer coverage
- Pentair automation: generally 1 year, with certain systems receiving longer coverage
Coverage varies by exact model and installation.
The Pentair Bundle Warranty: One benefit worth knowing about is Pentair’s 3-Year Bundle Warranty. When qualifying equipment is purchased and professionally installed together—including a pump, filter, and at least one additional eligible product—Pentair can extend qualifying whole-good equipment coverage to 3 years for parts and labor, subject to the program’s requirements. That’s another reason we pay attention to how the equipment is specified and installed—not just what brand is printed on the box.
Mizu Automatic Safety Cover Warranty
We use Mizu for automatic safety covers because the cover isn’t just an accessory, it’s an important part of your pool’s safety, cleanliness, and day-to-day operation. Mizu’s homeowner warranty information currently lists:
- Parts: 30 days
- Labor: 1 year
- Cover manufacturer warranty: 3 years
- Manufacturer proration on the cover: Years 4–6
Mizu lists rips and certain labor costs as exclusions from its standard warranty coverage. Exact coverage can depend on the specific automatic cover system and components installed. Mizu also supplies systems from Coverstar and Pool Cover Specialists, so the exact component warranties can vary by system. For example, Mizu’s dealer resources list Coverstar fabric, rope, mechanism, motor, and electrical warranties that are separate by component.
The important thing for you: You don’t need to become a pool-cover warranty expert. If you have a problem with the automatic cover we installed, contact us and we'll help determine what is covered and who needs to handle the claim.

What a Warranty Doesn’t Cover
A warranty isn’t a promise that nothing will ever go wrong. Complex systems can be affected by external factors beyond our control, including:
- Normal wear and tear
- Improper maintenance or water chemistry
- Damage caused by misuse or neglect
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs
- Improper draining
- Groundwater or hydrostatic pressure
- Natural events or acts of nature
- Damage caused by other contractors or third parties
- Damage outside specific manufacturer coverage
These exclusions vary by product. The actual manufacturer warranty and your signed contract control.
